ABSOLUTELY no one is allowed in the scorer’s booth other than the officials.

No driver may get out of his car on the rack to discuss a race situation with any official.

Every competitor will be expected to compete in every event in which they are assigned.

GENERAL POLICY

Management and Officials will establish the length, frequency and administration of all events and programs.  Their decisions will be final.  Management and officials will determine all finishing positions and their decisions will be final and binding.

TRACK PROCEDURES

Pit gates open at 5:00 pm.  Any car entering after 7:15 pm will line up at the back of his assigned heat.

All cars must participate in assigned heat race, no switching unless granted prior permission before the FIRST  heat races begins.

Track packing will begin at 6:35 pm with ALL cars participation, unless told of a mechanical problem before that time.

RACE LINE UP PROCEEDURE

Heat race line ups are lined up by a point average, and the average is your average points from the last 4 nights that YOU raced, with the high point average starting in the rear.  D,C,B features are lined up on how you finish your heat race, with the A Feature being lined up by the same said point average.

New cars entering the field after opening night will be placed at the rear for 2 weeks.

Any driver missing consecutive weeks will start at the rear for 2 weeks.

Qualifying for the feature race is dependent upon the number of cars entered in that class for the evening:

0 to 15- 3 Heats top 3 in A, rest in the B

16-24 – 3 Heats top 4 in A, rest in the B

25-36 – 4 Heats top 3 in A, next 2 in B, next 2 in C, if any more would race D

36 – Up – 6 Heats top 2 in A, next 2 in B, next 2 in C

Top 2 out of C, D move up and Top 3 in B move up (except cruisers)

FLAGS

GREEN – Step on that gas pedal and GO

YELLOW – Trouble on the track, slow down at a safe pace

RED – Serious trouble on the track, stop as soon as safely possible, stay there until an official moves you

WHITE – One more lap to go

CHECKERED – Race is over

BLUE/YELLOW – About to get lapped, keep car straight and stay in the current line you were running in

BLACK/YELLOW – Car has a mechanical problem, car is to go IMMEDIATWELY into your pit

RACE PROCEDURES

Any car that intentionally spins out or causes the race to be stopped intentionally will be disqualified.

LONE RANGER RULE; In the heat races, any car that spins out by itself, with no help from anyone else, and does not get going immediately and brings out the caution, WILL GO DIRECTILY INTO THEIR PITS AND BE DONE FOR THAT RACE.  In the Features any car that causes 2 cautions will be out and scored in such position.

Any competing car whose speed has been reduced to the point where it causes a safety hazard will be disqualified for that race.

CAUTION FLAGS; Once the green flag is displayed, any cars that bring out the caution flag will be lined up accordingly; All cars who were no “involved” in the wreck will be lined up on the last completed lap, All cars who made contact with the wreck will be deemed in the wreck and will be lined up next, and the car or cars that were deemed responsible for the accident will be lined up last.  ANY CAR THAT SPINS TO INTENTIONALLY MISS THE WRECK WILL NOT BE DEEMED TO BE IN THE WRECK, AND THEREFORE WOULD GET THEIR SPOTS WHERE THEY WERE RUNNING ON THE LAST COMPLETED LAP.

All cars with a flat or any other quick fix problems that happened because of or during the caution will get 2 laps to fix damage.  Laps will begin counting when you hit your pit.

THE STARTING PACE IS SET BY THE POLE SITTER, AND THE STARTING SPOT ON THE TRACK IS AT THE ORANGE TIRE, MY CONE, AT THE EXIT OF TURN 4.  SET AN EVEN PACE UP TILL THAT TIRE, THEN YOU CAN ACCELERATE AT THAT POINT AND AT THAT POINT ONLY.

IF THE CAUTION COMES OUT ON THE WHITE FLAG, IN THE PAST THE RACE WAS CALLED A RACE.  THIS YEAR, FOR ONLY ON THE FIRST CAUTION, WE WILL BE RACING GREEN, WHITE THEN CHECKERED.

ANYONE DEEMED TO HAVE STARTED THE RACE OR RESTART UNFAIRELY, (JUMPING) WILL IMMEDIATELY BE LINED BACK UP IN THE BACK.  ANY ONE THEN DOING IT FROM THE BACK WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

ALL RACES THAT ARE RESTARTED WILL BE STARTED SINGLE FILE.

ROUGH DRIVING penalties will be penalized spots at the end of the race.  Rule of thumb has usually been 2 spots in heats, and 4 in feature, or behind the car you roughed up against whichever is the least.

TECH INSPECTORS WILL TELL YOU NIGHTLY HOW MANY CARS WILL BE TECHED, TOP 4, 5, 6 OR HOW MANY WE FEEL NECESSARY

DURING THE TIME YOU ARE IN THE PITS, WHETHER GOING TO THEM OR COMING OUT OF THEM, IF WE DEEM YOUR SPEED TO BE IN EXCESS OF SAFETY LIMITS, WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO RESUME RACING, AND WILL BE SCORED IN LAST PLACE!!!!
